» About News Feeds» How To Subscribe to Our News Feed |
News Feeds are rapidly becoming the way to communicate news and information in a timely and convenient fashion, without "pushing" email to you and cluttering your mailbox. By subscribing to a news feed, you can stay in touch with what's new without having to go to a website and examine the content looking for changes. The owner of the website publishes a news feed presenting new items of interest that you can read at your leisure. Nothing is ever emailed to you. You subscribe without your email address being sent to anyone. How do you subscribe to and read our news feed? One of the easiest ways to subscribe is to use the news feed reader capability of Yahoo. With a MyYahoo account, you can easily add the news feed to your personalized Yahoo page. And similarly, you can add a news feed to your personalized Google page. (There are also news readers you can download for free.) Here's how you do that. Simply click on the Whenever you visit your MyYahoo page, you will be presented with our very latest news and information. And, if you wish, you can have Yahoo send you an alert email whenever a new item is published. To set up alerts, after signing in to your MyYahoo account, go to http://alerts.yahoo.com/, then select "Feed/Blog" under the "Create An Alert" tab. You can then select the feed for which you want an alert in Section B. Under that, choose the frequency for alerts, and choose how you want your alerts delivered. You can even choose to have the alert sent to your mobile device. By the way, if you use the Safari browser version 2 (by Apple) or
the Firefox browser, it has a built in news reader. All you need to do to view the feed is click the Finally(!), wherever you see "Read
Vacation News Feed" or We encourage display of the RunAway GetAway news feed or items within the feed, subject to our Terms and Conditions.
